Fadzullah Hassan has a background in architecture and construction management. He enjoys the experience of things becoming as much as they are when completed. Seeing materials take form and new meanings influencing one’s being. He loves getting his hands dirty and finds manual work insightful.
Fad decided to leave his deskbound job as an Asset Manager overseeing construction on mosque projects after a painful renovation experience with a contractor for his own house. There were delays, mismanagement, change of project managers and plenty of mistakes.
After the whole ordeal, Fad felt that we could have done a better job himself and decided to join the renovation industry not knowing that its will be a journey with little ups and many downs. All of which helped him want to shape his personal mission which is is to ensure his clients dont have a bad reno experience.
Now with over 4 years of experience working with ID firms, Fad feels having his own company enables him to serve his clients in the best way that he can. Currently a One Man Show, be plans to expand the company when the right people comes by.
Why name his own company Tiles and Grout? Because it’s his favourite part of every home renovation and that’s what the company will be specializing in.
Tiles & Grout specialises in tiling works. From living area floors, kitchen walls to bathroom, Fad and his tilers ensures you quality workmanship and designs. What sets us apart is the deep appreciation of tiles being used and detailing involved. No to plastic corner beads, we prefer mitre joints. No to randomly laid tiles, we prefer intentional tile setting out.
Fad prefers to use SketchUp 3D models to discuss with clients from the beginning to the end for the project. Although his design possess it not as detailed as full fledge Interior Designers, using 3D models has proven to be quick and efficient.
