The original layout was opened up through the demolition of the store room and selected walls, allowing the living, dining and kitchen to flow seamlessly into one another. This spatial reconfiguration was driven by lifestyle: from the kitchen, the mother now enjoys an unobstructed view of the living area, keeping an eye on the children while preparing meals, and fostering a stronger sense of togetherness throughout the day.

Rather than physical partitions, the home is organised through a careful selection of finishes. Flooring transitions define functional areas: patterned tiles at the entrance establish a welcoming threshold, warm grey vinyl flooring ground the living spaces, and various tile surfaces in the kitchen and bathrooms gives the each space its own identity.

Lighting plays an equally important role. Soft ambient illumination in the living areas creates a relaxed family atmosphere, while task lighting in the kitchen supports functionality. In the bathrooms, darker stone textures and concealed LED strips evoke a hotel-like calm, offering moments of retreat within the home.
